Planning a larger celebration? The Gem offers flexible space options. The Main Room is our larger event space and can be rented separately for weddings, receptions, corporate events and larger celebrations.
For events that need additional room, guests may reserve the Full Facility, which includes both The Green Room and The Main Room. The Gem makes it memorable with full-service catering and seamless hospitality.

Christopher’s Restaurant & Catering has proudly served the Dayton community since 1991. When we became owners in 2019, we were honored to carry forward a business already known for great food, genuine hospitality and strong community relationships.
Since then, Christopher’s has continued to evolve. Today, our operations are centered at 3425 Valley Street, home of The GEM by Christopher’s — where we host our theme dinners, special events and private celebrations while continuing to provide full-service catering throughout the Dayton region.
The GEM offers two distinct event spaces. The Green Room is ideal for smaller gatherings such as birthdays, anniversaries, showers, rehearsal dinners and corporate meetings. Our Main Room can accommodate up to 150 guests and works especially well for celebrations of approximately 75–130 guests.
With private parking, ADA accessibility, beer and wine service, and a comfortable standalone facility, The GEM gives our guests a welcoming place to gather, celebrate and make memories.
The location has evolved. The mission has not: great food, genuine hospitality and taking good care of the people we serve.

Each evening features a rotating menu of customer favorites, seasonal specialties, comforting classics and creative dishes from our kitchen. The menu changes throughout the year, giving you something different to enjoy each time you visit.
Our Theme Dinners are about more than a great meal. They’re a chance to meet up with friends, bring the family together and enjoy a relaxed evening filled with good food, conversation and community.
